Time to buy a motorcycle:

Starting from Scratch?  New or Used?  Custom?  Classic?  Where to start?


We’ll share some thoughts and insight on buying a new bike.  Our thoughts on that are likely different from a lot of other motorcycle stores on the planet.  We all sell motorcycles, sure, and that IS important.  All motorcycle manufacturer’s and the stores that represent them embrace (at least they should,) support, and ultimately sell the lifestyle that they promote.  The wonderful brands that we’re fortunate enough to represent here are not really any different.  What is different though is what that “lifestyle” stands for.


Currently, the new brands that we represent are BMW and Ducati, though there is a mystery manufacturer coming soon.  All of which have a lifestyle that revolves around enjoying the ride, performance, and handling characteristics of those…

I was sitting in the office this morning, going through email, making sure that everything was followed up with…applications, inquiries, appraisals, and that all was attended to.

One of our good friends and customers was talking in the showroom, and I stepped around to say hello.

“I’m thinking of buying another bike,” he said.  “But I am not sure what to get.”


This dilemma has faced most of us at one point or another. I think it’s magnified by us being a multiline dealer, but we do see it a lot, and have quite a few customers that have more than one…or two, motorcycles.

It isn’t that there is anything wrong with any of the bikes out there, its just that each bike in some way is a compromise. That’s part of the reason we make really sure to question what type of riding our customers do. We really recommend…
